Wise Woman & Coming of Age Ceremonies

A Wise Woman ceremony is for women who have passed through menopause and are ready to acknowledge their “Wise Woman” status. It provides the opportunity to tell their life’s story and the wisdom that has been acquired through the many experiences of their lives. To acknowledge this huge shift in a woman’s life is a way of reestablishing meaning and value and it can provide a foundation to build the rest of her life on.

It can help restore balance and harmony in her life after the tumultuousness of her menopausal years. The ceremony I often use is Native American in practice and is held in the Fall of the year outside around a fire. I also can prepare a unique ritual, specific to an individual’s needs and desires. Let me help you celebrate your new status as a Wise Woman!

A Coming of Age ceremony is held in celebration of a young girl who has started to menstruate, thus entering into her many years of womanhood. It can give her a greater sense of belonging and help her feel part of a greater whole, as she is surrounded by her elders and honored for her new status as a woman of childbearing age. This is a ceremony I lead in the Spring and is Native American based. I can also create a special ceremony for a girl or a group of girls to go through together.
